Introduction

Registered Office of the Company is a place where all the business communication relating to the Company is sent, where Company’s business activities is going, books of accounts are maintained and also used for determining the domicile of the Company. The registered office of the Company can be changed by filing requisite documents with the Ministry of Corporate Affairs.

Modes of changing Registered Office:

• From one place to another within limits of the same city or town.
• Place outside local limits but within the same state under the jurisdiction of
  same ROC
• Change in office from the Jurisdiction of one ROC to that of the other.
• One State to another.

There are separate procedures required to be followed to change the registered place of a company in all modes to change the registered office of the company. Prescribed forms need to file with Registrar of Companies (ROC) as per the need arise.
